HISTORY PAGE

Cedar Cross Cafe is the brain child of Tina and Christopher. In early spring of 2008 they went on a road trip to Eureka Springs for the weekend. They wanted to go into business with a cafe,  Tina used to have a Tea House "Trinitys Garden" north of Granby Missouri in 2004.  This is where they both live now in the tea house. They batted around the idea of adding on to the place however it just didn't seem to work. So on this excursion Tina came up with the idea of just building a whole separate place for a cafe in the backyard.

May 1st 2008 they broke ground. Christopher and Tina worked almost everyday for 8 straight months and almost opened in late fall and early winter. Some people driving by might have seen signs that read "The Picnic Basket". That was the original name for the business. Then we decided on a couple of other names and finally "Cedar Cross Cafe".

Why the name? We both love nature and Cedar trees and the love of "All that is Good" God.

Finally in April of 2009 we opened. We've had an overwhelming response with local people and will continue to serve our community. This is a place to come to sit down and relax and enjoy good home cooked food, good company, and nature. Don't be surprised if you see a deer go across the field and don't be surprised if you hold a good country conversation with the cook Tina or Christopher.
